Starting out as what the old PUA guys used to call a hardcase newbie, the more extremes of the party scene were appealing to me for a while. But once you've ticked that box, and once you see how the sausage is made, the glamour wears off. Looking for genuine connections with people who are fun, but also not people who are addicted to stimulus

Ya this can be hard as a ton of them are addicted to the stimuli including myself when I do go out

The next time I go out, not anytime soon, I'll have a different head on my shoulders. There are some diamonds out there and everywhere in the world

Just gotta be looking with the right glasses

I think the difference is the frame it's coming from. If you're partying to unwind after a long work week or enjoy time with friends, or meet new friends, that's fine. Even good. But if you're doing it just to do it, meaning it's a goal to itself, that's going to lead to a never ending void. This is how you get people who burn out, or crash out and go the extreme opposite and "find God", not as in genuine faith which I got total respect for, but it's just their latest act. They say stuff like "you won't find fulfillment in this" but fulfillment was never meant for this in the first place. It was just meant to be a fun thing to do with friends and a way to meet new friends. That's it.
