💡 Which One is for You?
If you’re extroverted and love networking, go for promoter, VIP host, or bartender.
If you’re into music and vibe control, DJing is your lane.
If you want structure and stability, security is the way to go.
No matter what, nightlife is all about relationships. The more you build, the more you win.

I'd also say consider the long game here. It's an awesome experience as a college job or early 20s, but then what? With the exception of VIP hosts at tier 1 clubs in top cities (Omnia in Vegas, Little Sister in NYC, Kiki on the River in Miami -- NOT your bro bar on 6th Street in Austin), these jobs don't really pay a lot. Unless it's backed by deep pockets like TAO Group or Groot Hospitality, what's the desired career end state for you there? IMO the best nightlife job is investor -- now the GMs, AGMs, and VIP hosts report to you and are accountable to you. Not trying to be a hater here, just offering another perspective, esp given I'm in my 30s so goals now have evolved a bit.
