All the same people go to the lounges or work there
What I noticed is everyone is copying the 1920s speakeasy vibes
These lounges are often hidden and small
It all plays off that its 2025 and now the roaring twenties
Also people in the nightlife Industry are doing a lot more afterhours
These afterhours spots are starting to serve booze as an attempt to replicate prohibition
No one enforces this law so they do drinking out in the open at the clubs after they close
Not their main places just in case but the others there are tons of bottles and drugs out in the open
It’s all playing on the nostalgia 1920s
In fact, big corps are all playing on nostalgia for eveveryone in the last 100 years
That’s what they are selling now
Nostalgia on a screen
It does very well to play on people’s minds
You will notice a lot of things from the 90s and early 2000s resurfacing unless you live under a rock
All these same celebs they have been talking about for the last 20 years!
Start noticing the changes around you and speaking of changing

Absolutely true in NYC. The true clubs killed the golden goose with tables. PHD isn't so much a club as it is a collection of tables, so sure you can get an IG story or whatever but you're not going to meet anyone really, aside from randoms off of Tabler who just want your free booze. The smart guys (and girls) caught on to this which is why many just go to Spaniard or other bars in West Village or even Brooklyn (!!!) which was not a thing not that long ago, but here we are.
If everything is "high status" then really nothing is. That's the problem NYC clubs have which is why people go to lounges more.
